Texans trade out of No. 25, get extra second-round pick

Instead of imaging who the Texans might select at No. 25 overall, or if they might trade up to get someone specific, consider this.

They're going to wait until the second round ... again. For the second straight season, the Texans traded out of the first round. But this time, they did it for an extra second-round pick on Day 2.

Houston sent pick No. 25 to the New York Giants for picks No. 34, 99 and a 2026 third-rounder.

Elsewhere in the division, quarterback Cam Ward went to the Tennessee Titans with the No. 1 overall pick.

The Jacksonville Jaguars traded up to the No. 2 overall pick for Travis Hunter, a one-of-a-kind two-way talent and the Heisman Trophy winner.

The Indianapolis Colts were able to pick arguably the best tight end in the draft, Tyler Warren, at No. 14.
