The Texans waived defensive back Cornell Armstrong and linebacker Tae Davis, the team announced Monday.
Both Armstrong and Davis were far down on the Texans' depth chart and considered to be long shots to make the 53-man roster.
In other roster moves, the Texans also activated Pro Bowl left tackle Laremy Tunsil from the COVID-19 reserve list. They also made the Shaq Lawson trade to the New York Jets official.
