Texans trade Tytus Howard to Browns for fifth-round pick: reports

Tytus Howard's tenure with the Houston Texans appears to be over after seven seasons.

The Texans agreed to traded Howard to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for a fifth-round pick, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Monday morning.

The deal also includes a new three-year, $63 million extension for Howard with the Browns, according to Rapoport.

Howard had been the longest tenured Texans player other than kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn. The Texans drafted Howard in the first round in 2019. He played every position along their offensive line except center over his seven seasons with the team.
