(SportsRadio 610) -- With the Texans traveling to face the Dallas Cowboys in the Governor's Cup, here is what we are most looking to see from Houston's team.
More push from offensive line: They have shown many signs of improvement, but they still need to show more in the run game.
The offensive line did not get enough push that you'd want to see from the starters. Running back Phillip Lindsay did not have a great picture to work with when he was out there against the Packers last week.
At least part of this, after going back and watching, was the Packers' run blitzes. They did a good job of wreaking havoc up the A-gap, which sometimes is on the running back, or the quarterback, or offensive line.
Again, while the line's progress is nice, they need to do better in the run game.
Head coach David Culley said as much Monday afternoon.
Tempo: It was good early on with Tyrod Taylor and the first unit.
This wasn't apparent to the eye on our first watch, but was good to see in reviewing the tape.
Hopefully the Texans' offense continues with the tempo and pace in which it played against the Packers.
Davis Mills improvement: More than anything, we really want to see Davis Mills take another step and maybe just tease us a little.
Have us thinking maybe the Texans pulled one over on the league, found a real diamond in the rough.
