(SportsRadio 610) - At the Houston Touchdown Club's UIL high school awards dinner Wednesday night, our very own John P. Lopez was recognized as this year's Ron Stone Media Excellence Award winner.
The award is given annually for extraordinary contributions reflecting integrity sports over a long period of time in Houston.
Lopez worked as a reporter and columnist at the Houston Chronicle for 17 years before pursuing a radio career at SportsRadio 610. In total, Lopez has spent 37 years covering sports, 32 of those years here in Houston.
