Just two days after Marcell Ozuna was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence, the Atlanta Braves outfielder was surprisingly back in the lineup and playing in center on Sunday against the Houston Astros.

His presence was not appreciated by the fans at Truist Park, however.

As Ozuna came to the plate for his first at-bat he was booed by the fans. The outfielder struck out and the boos grew even louder as he headed back to the dugout.

Not only did Ozuna receive a cold reception from the fans, but Braves radio announcer Ben Ingram seemed to troll him a little, too.

Ingram introduced the 31-year-old as “here is Ozuna from the Braves,” referring to the dashcam video where Ozuna explained who he was to the officer pulling him over.

Ozuna was pulled over by an officer in Norcross, Georgia at 3:30 a.m. on Friday who noticed his Mercedes-Benz SUV speeding and driving in the left and right lanes of the road.

The officer reportedly smelled alcohol from the car and when questioning Ozuna, the outfielder told him “I’m fine” and admitted to having “three or four” beers.

Ozuna went through a field sobriety test and when approached to doing a breathalyzer he declined, which resulted in his arrest.

This is not the first incident with Ozuna as a member of the Braves He was arrested in May 2021 on domestic violence charges that were eventually dropped to a misdemeanor. MLB suspended Ozuna for the incident.
