Major League Baseball announced on Thursday it has extended Trevor Bauer’s administrative leave beyond the original seven-day period as the league and authorities continue to investigate claims of assault against the Dodgers pitcher.

The MLB Players’ Association agreed to the extension, which added an extra seven days beginning on Friday.

Bauer also released a statement through his agents, in which he vehemently denied the allegations.

The extension comes following the Dodgers’ decision to cancel a bobblehead night noring Bauer and pulling his merchandise from online and stadium stores.

Bauer was originally placed on administrative leave on July 2, after the Pasadena Police Department confirmed it was investigating allegations of assault against Bauer.

In a domestic violence restraining order that was filed against Bauer, the alleged victim said she met the 30-year-old pitcher on two separate occasions for sex, in which she claims he punched multiple parts of her body, including her head, and choked her with her hair until she lost consciousness.

She also accused Bauer of having anal sex with her without her consent.

An L.A. County Superior Court judge granted a domestic violence restraining order against Bauer, prohibiting him from contacting the alleged victim.

Bauer has repeatedly denied the allegations, claiming that both encounters were consensual.
