The Yankees made it official early Sunday afternoon: RHP Jameson Taillon is on his way to the Bronx in exchange for a package of four prospects.
Taillon took to Twitter for an initial reaction to the deal:
He did apparently make one quick comment, though, according to Rob Biertempfel of The Athletic:
Pirates have traded Jameson Taillon to Yankees. "It's emotional for me. I was last man standing from that 2010 draft class. That organization became family. Super excited to go to Yankees but this is still tough."

Taillon: "It didnt' seem like this was something (the Pirates) were initially seeking to do, but it got to the point where the Yankees and other teams were persistent. Going from where the Pirates are at to the Yankees, where the only thing is winning, is exciting."

Taillon also had this to say about former, and once again, teammate Gerrit Cole:
Jameson Taillon to @RobBiertempfel, talking about Gerrit Cole: "We were drafted back-to-back years, we lived together in spring training, we played catch together, we've gone on trips together. Great teammate and one of my absolute best friends."

Also, according to Biertempfel, Pirates GM Ben Cherington said that RHP Miguel Yajure, the only one of the four prospects Pittsburgh acquired that has MLB experience, "certainly will be in big league camp as a starter with a chance to contribute at some point in 2021."
