During the eighth inning of Tuesday’s A’s-Tigers game, Oakland second baseman Tony Kemp made a spectacular diving play to rob Jeimer Candelario of a base hit.
Kemp made an all-out extension toward second base to snag the ball out of the air as it headed toward right field.
Perhaps the best part of the play was Kemp’s reaction to it.
The second baseman could not even believe his own athleticism, sitting on the ground with his mouth open leaving himself speechless.
Everyone else watching pretty much had the same reaction.
