Veteran college hoops coach Bruce Pearl turned heads during a brief appearance on ESPN's NBA Draft broadcast.
Pearl, who coached No. 5 overall pick Isaac Okoro at Auburn, called into the show to offer analysis following the Cleveland Cavaliers' selection of his former player -- seemingly from a cold, dimly lit parking lot.
The 60-year-old former Tennessee coach was rocking an offseason beard and fleece vest, looking something like a war correspondent covering a conflict abroad.
In fact, Pearl was at a restaurant that was hosting Okoro's draft party and had stepped outside to take the call, according to Matt Norlander of CBS Sports.
Of course, social media nonetheless quickly pounced on the strange scene with its usual onslaught of jokes.
