PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Finally, the Philadelphia 76ers' newest star took the chance to shine in his first game with the Sixers.

James Harden created a night of firsts in his initial game in a 76ers uniform, played Friday night in Minnesota against the Timberwolves, almost reaching his first triple-double with Philly.

15 days after the trade that brought Harden to the Sixers and Ben Simmons to the Nets, Harden scored his first points with the red, white and blue.

Less than a quarter later, Harden's first three-ball as a Sixer came from the corner pocket.

And before the end of the first half, Harden delivered what he's known for more than anything else. (Well, perhaps beside his beard.)

He kept raining them down, of course in stepback form.

All in an evening of domination by the Sixers in Minneapolis, 133-102. Harden finished with a banner night: 27 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds.

Harden's first home game with the 76ers is set to come Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. against the New York Knicks.
