It’s incredible to think about how much has changed for the Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets since they last played each other.
In one of the more highly-anticipated matchups of the regular season, the Nets will travel to Philly to take on the Sixers on Friday night. The last time the two sides met was Dec. 30, prior to the mega-deal they pulled off that sent James Harden to the 76ers and Ben Simmons to the Nets.

That game also featured a little dustup, with Kevin Durant and Joel Embiid getting into a heated exchange. There’s even more history between the two teams now, but Durant explained how in podcast “The ETCs with Kevin Durant” that he’s not expecting any of the beef to get in the way.
"I doubt it," Durant said. "I feel like we got our s--t-talking done. I think it’s all about just straight hoop. I think me and Joel know that when we both step on the floor, our intensity level both goes up. I respect his game, he respects mine and we both know that I can go off for a big night, he can do the same, and then we both have teammates that can do it, as well. So, it’s going to be a great matchup where you won’t see too much jawing or too much extra s--t, it’s just going to be about the game."
The Nets don’t really have the room to be getting over-involved in the extra stuff. They sit at .500 on the season and are clinging to the eighth seed in the division.
