UH Cougars head to Final Four against Duke after dominant win over Tennessee
The University of Houston Cougars are headed to the Final Four after dominating Tennessee on Sunday in the Elite Eight.
Houston will face Duke, the No. 1 seed in the East Region, for a shot at a national championship. The game will be held at the Alamodome in San Antonio.
For the Coogs, this is the seventh Final Four trip in program history. They also made it in 1967, 1968, 1982, 1983, 1984 and 2021.
They were led Sunday by L.J. Cryer's 17 points. Emanuel Sharp, who was named the Most Outstanding Player for the Midwest Region, added 16 points.
