No. 6 UH Cougars take down Baylor at Fertitta Center
The sixth-ranked UH Cougars remain atop the Big 12 standings after beating Baylor on Monday night at Fertitta Center.
The Cougars (20-4, 12-1) beat the Bears 76-65 on Monday night for their third straight victory.
UH shot 51 percent from the field and went 10 of 24 on 3-pointers, which allowed the team to reach 20 wins for the 10th consecutive season.
L.J. Cryer, a former Bear, led the way for Houston with 14 points. Milos Uzan had 12 points and six assists. Terrance Arceneaux added 11 points and Emanuel Sharp chipped in 10 after missing the previous two games with an ankle injury.
It was Uzan's 3-pointer that sparked a 10-1 run for UH in the first half, giving the Cougars a 26-16 lead with 7:53 to go until halftime. UH never trailed by fewer than six points after that.
For Baylor (15-9, 7-6), it's the third straight road loss as the Bears fall to 0-4 against ranked opponents in true road games this season.
