(SportsRadio 610) -- Texas Tech head football coach Matt Wells is excited for the game to get back to normal.

Wells is hoping for a full house when the Red Raiders open the 2021 season against the University of Houston Cougars in the Texas Kickoff NRG Stadium on Labor Day weekend.

Payne and Pendergast spoke with the Texas Tech football coach about getting back to semi-normal. Wells talked about his current quarterback Tyler Shough, a graduate transfer from Oregon who could become a top NFL prospect in 2022; and his former quarterback Jordan Love, who he coached at Utah State and could become Aaron Rodgers' replacement with the Packers soon rather than later.
