Stetson Bennett won't make decision on future until later; will he return for another season at Georgia?

The title-winning walk-on could stroll off into the sunset if he prefers

Stetson Bennett's story is one that will be etched in stone. A former walk-on QB who transferred away from Georgia, returned after a stint at the JUCO level, and waited his turn before leading UGA to a national championship. But while his tale is already legend, it may not be fully written just yet.

With Monday night's championship victory, many are wondering if Bennett will return to UGA for one more season or sail off into the sunset never having to buy a drink in Athens again.

Even though Bennett took part in Senior Day festivities this season and is a fifth-year senior, he does have the option to return for the Bulldogs since the NCAA rules that the 2020 season would not count against player's eligibility.

According to most draft analysts, Bennett is at-best a Day 3 selection and more likely to end up as an undrafted free agent.

If Bennett does decide to return he'll surely be handed the starting role by Kirby Smart without a camp competition. Behind Stetson (currently) are five-star QB's Brock Vandagriff and Gunner Stockton. JT Daniels has the option to return as well.

Georgia is in an enviable position having Bennett possibly return for another run at the title. But Stetson has to weigh his lifelong desire of playing QB at Georgia versus simply going out on top.
