Aaron Rodgers won't be leaving the Green Bay Packers -- not now, and perhaps not ever.
After Pat McAfee reported that the four-time NFL MVP was going to return to the Packers in 2022, NFL Media's Ian Rapoport broke the news that Rodgers has agreed to one of the most lucrative contracts in the history of professional sports:
Rapoport says that Rodgers, 38, did consider the possibility of being traded to the Denver Broncos or even retiring after 17 seasons. Ultimately, though, this deal allowed Rodgers to reset the market in terms of quarterback contracts, while also remaining with the only team that he's ever played for. He'll now continue to chase his second career Super Bowl title.
