Don't worry, Drew Brees is in good hands.
The New Orleans Saints quarterback, who is out indefinitely with several fractured ribs and a collapsed lung, appeared to be in good spirits despite the injuries, sharing a positive outlook for his recovery with a heartwarming Instagram picture of himself and his kids.
Brees wrote, "Who Dat Nation: I've got the best medical team in the world…will be back in not time!" Attached was a picture of Brees sitting on the couch with his three kids, who all appear to be playing doctor with their dad and future Hall of Fame quarterback.
Brees, 41, first sustained three fractured ribs on his right side two weeks ago against the Bucs but were not seen on X-rays until Monday. He suffered two more fractured ribs against the 49ers on Sunday, which forced him out of the game at halftime.
The Saints and Brees are unsure when he will return to the field, but an optimistic timeline would be two to three weeks, according to ESPN's Dan Graziano. The quarterback has been advised to be cautious due to the collapsed lung.
