The QB carousel kept on turning on Wednesday as the Indianapolis Colts reportedly agreed to trade Carson Wentz to the Washington Commanders for a package that includes two third-round picks, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Wentz lasted just one season in Indianapolis, where the Colts traded a first-round pick to acquire him. The veteran quarterback failed to reach the playoffs as he threw for 3,563 yards, 27 touchdowns to seven interceptions.
Wentz notably struggled down the stretch of the season, failing to throw for more than 200 yards in four of his final five starts, including the last two games — losses to the Las Vegas Raiders and lowly Jacksonville Jaguars to cost the Colts a chance at the playoffs.
Now, Wentz is returning to familiar territory in the NFC East, where he will be tasked to play his former team, the Philadelphia Eagles, twice a year.
As news of the trade broke, fans and media took to Twitter to react to the trade, with Eagles fans particularly chiming in with their thoughts.
Are you telling me that instead of watching the Eagles trounce Wentz once next season I get to watch them do it twice now?

Meanwhile, others in the media and around NFL Twitter shared their thoughts, which were not too different.
Incredible that the Colts traded Wentz before the Eagles even used the 1st-round pick they got from the Colts for Wentz.
