Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs has been a boon for both Buffalo fans and his fantasy football owners in 2020.
Diggs has carved out a place in Bills fans' hearts as an integral member in the team's first division title since 1999, and on Monday he etched his name in fantasy lore with a standout game that proved the decisive margin in the final round of many a league.
Many fantasy owners who had all but resigned themselves to defeat instead enjoyed improbable comebacks, as the combination of the Bills' overwhelming offense and the Patriots' injury-plagued defense proved the perfect recipe for a huge night.
Some who thought they had secure leads unfortunately found themselves on the other side of that equation.
Diggs finished with an efficient 9 catches on 11 targets for 145 yards and three touchdowns -- good for a whopping 41.5 fantasy points in ESPN PPR leagues.
For Bills fans, Diggs' explosion was the cherry on top of a win that clinched the division crown and sealed a season sweep of the rival Patriots, who made of a habit of beating up on the AFC East throughout their dominant two-decade run.
Football and fantasy fans on social media didn't disappoint in their responses to Diggs' epic game.
Stefon Diggs just won me my fantasy league, I love that man.
