Tyrann Mathieu helped score PETA a generous donation despite not holding up his end of the bargain.

Prior to Super Bowl LV, an anonymous fan pledged to donate $100,000 to the animal rights organization if the Kansas City Chiefs star intercepted a pass in the game.

Mathieu appeared to have secured the donation in the second quarter when a tipped pass fell into his hands, but a penalty negated the call and wiped out the interception from the stat sheet.

The Honey Badger failed to get another interception the rest of the game, but that did not matter for the generous donor.

According to TMZ Sports, the fan decided to still donate the money because “he thinks Mathieu and the Chiefs got royally screwed by the refs and he doesn’t think it’s fair to the animals.”

“The dogs didn’t deserve that call and neither did Tyrann,” the donor told TMZ.

Mathieu, 28, has been a supporter of PETA and has even starred in two viral PSA videos for the organization.

The money the fan donated was earmarked for PETA’s fieldwork team, located in parts of North Carolina and Virginia, which provides free pet services to low-income communities, according to TMZ Sports.

Among those services include free food deliveries, custom-built doghouses and straw bedding and flea, tick and fly-strike preventions.
