As schools close for summer break, thousands of children across Georgia lose access to the free and reduced-price meals they rely on during the school year. That's where MUST Ministries steps in.
Through its annual Summer Lunch Program, MUST Ministries provides meals to more than 7,000 children each week for nine weeks, helping ensure kids have access to nutritious food while school is out.
Now, families across metro Atlanta have an opportunity to help support that mission through Lemonade for Lunches, a community fundraiser promoted by The Kevin & Taylor Feel Good Morning Show.
The program encourages children and families to host lemonade stands in their neighborhoods and communities, with proceeds benefiting MUST Ministries' Summer Lunch Program.
Participants can download a free Lemonade Stand Promo Kit and begin planning their stand. Families are also encouraged to share photos and updates from their events on social media using #KTLemonade for a chance to be featured and promoted by Kevin & Taylor and Star 94.
"Every glass of lemonade sold helps provide meals for children who may otherwise go without during the summer months," organizers said.
The Summer Lunch Program serves communities across metro Atlanta, helping bridge the gap for families facing food insecurity when school cafeterias are closed.
Getting involved is easy. Simply download and print the Lemonade for Lunches flyer, set up a lemonade stand in your neighborhood, workplace, church, or community event, and donate the proceeds to support MUST Ministries' Summer Lunch Program.
