Lady Gaga simply wasn’t having it when a photographer ordered Al Pacino to "take off your glasses, Al,” and simply had to stand up for her co-star at the New York premiere of their film House of Gucci.

Here’s how it all went down. Posing alongside Jared Leto for the premieres photo call, one pap in particular demandingly requested for the 81-year-old legend to remove his shades. So obviously Gaga came to the rescue, quickly biting back, "Don't make him take his glasses off – he's Al Pacino!”

As Leto urged Pacino to put them back on, calling him a “rockstar” to which Gaga agreed, nodding while saying "Yes, thank you.”

After which, Pacino obliged and jokingly added, "in case you didn't know.” Which quickly diffused any chance of tension.

If you’ve somehow remained oblivious until now, we’ll gladly fill you in. Pacino, Gaga and Leto are all set to star in House of Gucci a film about the Gucci empire run by Aldo Gucci (played by Pacino), just as he brings in his nephew Maurizio Gucci (played by Adam Driver) and his wife Patrizia (Lady Gaga) into the business. Leto plays another one of of Aldo’s sons, Paolo.

House of Gucci opens in theaters on November 24. Checkout the films latest trailer below.
