Willie Jacquet Carney was born on February 2 in Nashville and arrived weighing 7 pounds, 5 ounces and measured 18.5 inches long.
“The stork came February 2 at 7:12 am and dropped off a baby girl for @michellebranch and I,” Carney wrote in an Instagram post. “Willie Jacquet Carney 7 pounds 5 ounces and 18 FEET HEIGHT. She’s named after my Grandmother Willie Madge Slate and Michelle’s mothers maiden name, Jacquet.”
Willie joins her big brother Rhys James Carney, the couple’s first child whom they welcomed in August 2018, and Owen Isabelle Landau, Branch’s 16-year-old daughter from her previous marriage to Teddy Landau.
Carney and Branch began dating in 2015 and were married in 2019 in New Orleans.

Carney will have an extra pep in his step when he heads out on a lengthy tour with The Black Keys later this year. Dubbed the Dropout Boogie tour, The Black Keys will kick things off with a July 9 show in Las Vegas and traverse across the country for the next several months before wrapping things up on October 18 in Dallas.
The tour marks the band’s first string of shows since their 2019 tour in support of their ninth studio album Let’s Rock. This will also be their first tour since releasing their 2021 album Delta Kream, a record comprising 11 covers of hill country blues songs.
