"That was insane," WizTheMc says of Tyla wanting to jump on his surging hit, "Show Me Love." He first linked up with the "Water" singer over FaceTime, having already worked on her take on the track in her own time. "She was so sweet. She showed me what she had worked on. Her final verse was incredible."
"From the musicality, to her background being from South Africa, I just felt like such a full circle moment, and it was such an honor to have her on my song."
Wait, does that just happen? Do artists vibe with other tracks and start putting together their own spin on int? "Look, I'm new to have to FaceTime with people like Tyla. So I don't know how how this world works," laughs Wiz.
"There was a point where me and the producers who did the song, were thinking about a remix as the song was growing, but even then, even if you think you dream big, none of us was dreaming like, 'oh yeah, obviously Tyla is going to hop on it.' It is crazy to to think that someone like Tyla would listen to the song and be like, yeah, I'll hop on too. That's just like, I can't control that, you know?"
