Dak Prescott injures hamstring in 27-21 loss to Falcons

Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse for the Dallas Cowboys - it does.

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott exited in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 27-21 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

Prescott went into the blue medical tent following the team's fourth-quarter drive that led to a 57-yard field goal from Brandon Aubrey and was immediately ruled out.

It's unknown when Prescott suffered the injury but the Fox broadcast showed Prescott limping after throwing a pass that resulted in a 10-yard completion to wide receiver Jalen Brooks.

After the game, Cowboys owner and GM Jerry Jones told reporters including Jon Machota of The Athletic, that he was 'concerned' about the quarterback's hamstring injury.

When speaking with the media after the game, Prescott said "he felt something pull" in his hamstring.

"It was something I've never felt," Prescott said.

Backup quarterback Cooper Rush entered the game and led Dallas to a late touchdown drive to get within six points, capped off by a two-point conversion to a laboring CeeDee Lamb. Lamb was in and out of the lineup in the fourth quarter as he fought through a right shoulder injury.

With one timeout remaining and 1:28 left on the clock, Dallas was forced to attempt an onside kick, but Atlanta recovered it to end the game.
