After hinting at his stance on the lopsided trade that sent a generational talent to the Los Angeles Lakers, former Dallas Mavericks majority owner Mark Cuban finally gave his thoughts on the Luka Doncic trade.
In an interview with WFAA's Jonah Javad, Cuban wouldn't say if he ever would have traded Doncic or not (we already know the answer to that question), but he did voice his displeasure for the return Mavericks general manager Nico Harrison negotiated for the superstar point guard.
"If the Mavs are going to trade Luka, that's one thing," Cuban said. "Just get a better deal. I still firmly believe if we had gotten four unprotected number ones and Anthony Davis and Max Christie, this would be a different conversation."
Doncic's Lakers have won eight straight games, including an OT win over the New York Knicks on Thursday night. Meanwhile, the Mavs are in shambles with Kyrie Irving out for the season after tearing his ACL this week and no return date set for Anthony Davis, the key piece Dallas received in return for Doncic.
Cuban also spoke about why he sold the team, the lack of a public presence from Harrison and new owner Patrick Dumont, and more.
