Beach Buddies: Adopt LuLu!

Paw Patrol Animal Rescue and Sanctuary

LULU
LULU

Meet LuLu! She's a 2.5 year affectionate pocket bully, just under 40lbs. She's very sweet with people and is loyal and grateful. LuLu is still a little timid, but is showing her goofy, playful side more and more. General behavior: Her foster suspects she never had a stable home and was never walked on a leash. Even though her foster works out of her home and lets LuLu out very often, LuLu still has occasional accidents. She is much better on a leash now. She loves to explore the outdoors and 'loves' every mailbox. She has started to recognize her name and comes most of the time when called. She's dog friendly with proper introduction. It took a little while for her to settle in and find her place within the pack. LuLu doesn't mind cats either. She's a little curious, but then walks away. Likes and dislikes: LuLu loves her toys, knows how to share, and does not fight over them. LuLu has a tremendous, healthy appetite, but is not food aggressive. She is very gentle when taking treats. At night LuLu prefers to sleep in her fosters' bed (sharing with their dogs) but is very quiet and doesn't hog space. LuLu would make a very loving additional family member. Paw Patrol Animal Rescue and Sanctuary is a woman run 501c(3) non profit organization in Miami, Florida dedicated to saving and re-homing abandoned, found and surrendered animals. Our goal is to place healthy and happy pets into forever homes. We are a foster-based rescue in the tri-county area, comprised solely of volunteers who nurture and protect these animals as well as provide shelter and training. We started as a single woman operation in 2015 and officially received our tax exempt status in 2016. Since then we have found homes for over 500 animals! In 2020 we saved 168, in 2021 we saved 162 and this year were already up to 24 adoptions with several more pending. We rely solely on volunteers and community donations and grants to fund our work, process applications for both volunteers and adopters, run our social media and attend events. We have a strong presence in the community and our "claim to fame" are taking the "hard" cases, the ones passed over repeatedly and the ones that mean a lot of medical/vetting involved, and of course we hold a special place for seniors
