Tom Brady now thinks he can play until he's 50 years old

By , WEEI 93.7

For the last several years, when it came to Tom Brady and how long he could play, 45 years old always seemed to be the number he talked about as his goal.

But now that he's 44 years old and still playing at a high level, perhaps that's changed.

On the "Tommy & Gronky" show put out by the Buccaneers, Rob Gronkowski asked the quarterback about now playing until he's 50.

“Wow, seems to be a really hot question lately," Brady said. "Can Tom Brady play till 50? Like 50 years old? … I mean, I don’t find it so difficult, and plus in Florida it’s kind of a retiree state. So, I feel like I can play and then just glide into retirement.

“I think I can, I think it’s a yes.”

It's unclear how his wife Gisele Bundchen feels about that or if it will happen, but at least the QB himself seems to think he can do it.
