DraftKings and Foxwoods Resort Casino are set to launch Connecticut’s first sports betting bar. And they’re hiring for new positions.
The plans for this sports betting bar come as the state waits for the U.S. Department of the Interior to approve changes to agreements between Connecticut and its two federally recognized tribal nations, the Mashantucket Pequots and Mohegans.
Connecticut legalized sports betting earlier this year. DraftKings entered a partnership with Foxwoods in late 2020.
The tribes and the administration of Governor Ned Lamont have both expressed interest in getting a legalized sports wagering system going by the kickoff of the NFL season on Sept. 9.
Open jobs include restaurant manager, assistant restaurant manager, host/hostess, bartender, barporter, restaurant chef, sous chef, cooks, and food servers.
