Kirk Olivadotti leaves Redskins for job with Packers

The Packers have lured longtime Washington Redskins assistant coach Kirk Olivadotti away from Washington.
Olivadotti, who began working for the Redskins in 2000, will join Green Bay as linebackers coach under defensive coordinator Mike Pettine and new Packers head coach, and former Redskins assistant, Matt LaFleur, according to Jim Owczarski of PackersNews.com.

Working various roles on the Redskins defensive staff, Olivadotti began as defensive quality control coach in 2000. He remained in that role until 2006 when he became the defensive line assistant coach, before coaching linebackers from 2007-09 and a defensive assistant in 2010.

Olivadotti left the Skins in 2011 to coach inside linebackers at the University of Georgia, before returning to Washington to serve in that same capacity in 2014.

He is the latest member of Jay Gruden's coaching staff to leave the team this offseason after special teams coordinator Ben Kotwica left for the same role in Atlanta earlier this month.
