Maryland continued its dominance over the NCAA women's lacrosse world with a 12-10 win over Boston College in Sunday's national championship game.
It's the Terrapins' 14th title in program history and their fourth in the last six seasons, a run of success orchestrated by head coach and Maryland alum Cathy Reese.
Reese,
recently inducted into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame, was brought to tears during Sunday's post-game press conference when a reporter mentioned Terps players saying their time at Maryland has been the best four years of their lives.

May 26, 2019 "At least they're happy tears, I can be thankful for that," an emotional Reese joked before going on to say: "That's what I want. I want everyone that comes through and plays for me to graduate and to go on and say they were the best four years (of their life)."
"That's what I want. I look back to my experience. I graduated in 1998, and the best four years of my life were playing for the University of Maryland. And the best friendships, the best experiences, I had amazing coaches, and so I transitioned that into the opportunity that I have."
"I have that opportunity to impact these players and their experiences. So what I want, I want them to graduate, I want them to be able to say that. So I like hearing that, I guess I can change the tune that way and say it's great to hear."
"I want them to be able to look back and say, 'Heck, that was the best four years of my life, whether I was on the field or not.' That they enjoyed the moments that they had together."
