Halloween is still weeks away, but the Washington Redskins had every reason to be scared on the opening drive vs. the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football as Adrian Peterson took a nasty shot to the knees.
It was then that reporters began to notice that Peterson was no longer hobbling around on the sideline, or being attended to by the training staff. Instead, he was practicing running and cutting, testing the knee.
On the next drive, he was back in the game and was heavily featured in the offense. It's not just that he wasn't injured--he appeared to be good as new.
This is the best possible news for a Redskins team playing from behind on the road in primetime.
