One misconception that Las Vegas shares with Washington, D.C., is that "people aren't from there."

People like Washington Wizards draft pick Troy Brown Jr. are from Vegas, and he will soon be catching a flight to D.C. to start his NBA career.

There's just one thing: he is a hardcore fan of the Golden Knights--the team that just lost in the Stanley Cup finals to the Washington Capitals, a team also owned by his new boss, Ted Leonsis.

Brown even wore his Golden Knights jersey on NBA Draft night, footage of which will undoubtedly be used by the Wizards' marketing team underneath the Monumental Sports umbrella:

With any luck, he will be able to attend the Caps' championship banner ceremony in his new home arena later this year.

He can sit right next to Bryce Harper.
