There's no way Michael Wilbon could call Washington, D.C., a "minor league sports town" anymore.

The Washington Capitals broke yet another barrier on Saturday night, collecting the first home Stanley Cup Finals victory in franchise history.

Twenty years after being swept by the Detroit Red Wings, the Caps evened the series on the road and then took a 2-1 lead at home off a convincing victory that had a little bit of everything.

The full scope of the event could not be captured for TV, though, so we're here to fill in the blanks. Enjoy:

There are way fewer #Knights fans in DC than there were #Caps fans in Vegas. This would not happen for a DC team in any other sport.

Loudest "Let's Go Caps" chant I've ever heard at Capital One Arena. #Caps up 3-1 with 39.5 seconds left.

A stranger with a beard just kissed me on the face. I was just standing on a street corner looking at my phone. So that's the scene in DC.
