Ryan Kerrigan proved to be a showstopper twice on Sunday, dragging down Jaguars quarterback Cody Kessler from behind.
His first sack came in the first quarter and gave the Redskins a takeaway and a short field:

— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) December 16, 2018With that sack, his tenth on the season, Kerrigan became just the second player in franchise history with double-digit sacks in three straight seasons. And he wasn't finished.
In the third quarter, he faked wide and then cut back to the inside, flowing across the defensive line and smashing Kessler in the pocket:

— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) December 16, 2018That sack was No. 82.5 for his career, leapfrogging Charles Mann (82) for career sacks with the Redskins. It's worth noting that Kerrigan reached that mark in 37 fewer games than Mann, who started his career in 1983, the year after sacks became an official NFL stat.
For Kerrigan to become the all-time franchise leader, he needs just nine more sacks. Dexter Manley (91) could see his record fall as soon as next season, but he can rest easy knowing that any sacks tallied his rookie year of 1981 did not count towards his total. Also, he reached 91 sacks in 125 games, one fewer game than Kerrigan has already played.
Kerrigan has been Mr. Consistent since joining the team in 2011, never missing a game and never tallying fewer than 7.5 sacks (rookie season). With two games left, he has a chance to break his personal single-season mark of 13.5 sacks.
Opposing quarterbacks beware, as Kerrigan is quietly garnering Pro Bowl consideration.
