The Washington Redskins had the unfortunate draw of playing the New Orleans Saints on the road, on Monday Night Football, on the night that Drew Brees was all but certain to break the all-time NFL passing record. He needed just more than 200 passing yards to accomplish the feat, leapfrogging both Brett Favre and Peyton Manning.
He did it all in the first half, passing both legendary quarterbacks on touchdown passes, two of four scored by the Saints in the first 30 minutes. He finished with 250 yards in the air.
The Saints added an additional 43 yards on the ground (and two Mark Ingram touchdowns), giving them nearly 300 yards of total offense in the first half.
Keep in mind that the Redskins had 15 days to prepare for this game and came in with the NFL's top-ranked total defense and passing defense. In addition to playing poorly, the Redskins also appeared to be ripping apart at the seams, playing out of position and yelling at each other on the sidelines. Here were some of the lowlights:

The Redskins squandered a two-score lead over the Saints last year, so anything is possible. However, they have a tall mountain to climb in the second half.
