The NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament is finally here, and six D.C.-area teams will be dancing in the first round.
Listed from the top seed on down, here is your schedule for local college basketball games in the opening round:
Virginia (1) vs. Gardner-Webb (16)
South Region: Friday in Columbia, S.C.
This is another dominant Virginia squad, claiming a top seed in the South region. They are expected to win handily this year, but then they were last year as well.

East Region: Friday in San Jose
According to the team's official communications, Virginia Tech has the longest combo streak in the country, with three-straight seasons in the NCAA basketball tournament and 10-straight seasons with an NCAA football bowl game.

East Region: Thursday in Jacksonville, Fla.
The Terps disappointed in the conference tournament but have a good shot at redemption in the first round. The young team (average age of 19 to start the season) has a rotation of five freshmen, two sophomores and one junior.
