All charges against Redskins safety Montae Nicholson have been dropped due to insufficient evidence, per multiple reports.
In addition, the misdemeanor public swearing/intoxication charge against Nicholson will not be pursued at this time, according to court records. https://t.co/9WGIpoNryl

The charges stemmed from a Dec. 18 incident when Nicholson and Syndey A. Maggiore were arrested on assault and battery and drunk in public charges. According to the police report, Nicholson and Maggiore allegedly assaulted a man and woman in Ashburn, Va. Video of the alleged incident emerged on Dec. 19.
The Redskins placed Nicholson on the Non-Football/Injury list the day after he was arrested. But with all charges dropped, Nicholson's in line to return to the field Week 1 of the 2019 season, and perhaps start opposite Landon Collins in the secondary.
I saw Montae Nicholson yesterday and he looked good, happy. Was talking with Redskins teammates and coaches. With assault charges dropped, as @kareemcopeland reports, he's in driver's seat to start opposite Landon Collins.
— JP Finlay (@JPFinlayNBCS) May 14, 2019Just talked about this on the show. If he can get/stay on the field Nicholson has shown he can make some plays. https://t.co/o6FUAuJhmK
