Redskins cornerback Josh Norman spent Wednesday night handing out blankets and supplies to homeless people in Washington.
Norman, who turned 31 Saturday, called distributing clothing items and other supplies at several local homeless shelters an early birthday present. He told ESPN he wanted to do this instead of doing something else to celebrate his birthday.
Josh Norman went downtown last night to give out blankets and supplies to the homeless. Said he chatted with them for a while, and it was a rewarding experience."You ask me how I keep my spirits up - It's because I get to do things like that because of this."

After a stressful few weeks for the Redskins, Norman said doing good deeds helps him remain positive.
“You always have to think positive,” Norman said. “I deal with it by helping other people out. It’s pretty cool when you can do that, give back to other people. Helps out a lot.”
