The Washington Redskins have designated running back Byron Marshall to return from injured reserve list, 106.7 The Fan Redskins beat reporter Craig Hoffman reports.

Marshall has been activated. Presumably, he will play starting against Tampa. They can activate one more player.Additionally, all the PUP/NFI players are eligible whenever they are activated. Aka Holsey or McGee could be brought up at any time.

After sitting for eight weeks, Marshall is eligible to return from IR for the Redskins' November 11 game against the Buccaneers. Marshall, who was signed off the Eagles practice squad last season, has 28 carries for 96 yards in seven career NFL games. Washington placed Marshall on injured reserve at the start of the season after suffering an ankle injury during preseason.

The Redskins can activate one other player from their injured reserve list of wide receiver Trey Quinn, wide receiver Cam Sims, or running back Robert Kelley.

Corner Josh Holsey and defensive lineman Stacy McGee on the physically unable to perform/non-football injury list are eligible to return at any time.
