March 13, 2019 Cutting both players clears $8.025 million of cap space for the Redskins, according to Spotrac.
Brown thanked Redskins fans for their support in an Instagram post: "It was fun DC. Y’all showed mad love to ya boy," he wrote. "Thanks for everything. Time to start a new chapter."

McGee appeared in 24 games for the Redskins in his two seasons in D.C., making 31 tackles and one sack.
McGee and Brown will be the only #Redskins cuts for now.Mason Foster, Vernon Davis and Josh Norman aren't going anywhere for the time being. That could obviously change at any point, but you can stand down for more news for now.
