Redskins left tackle Trent Williams stayed in Dallas Thursday night after leaving the stadium in an ambulance following Washington's 31-23 loss, head coach Jay Gruden said Friday.

Williams was taken to the hospital after sustaining a rib injury and the decision to keep him overnight in Dallas was a precautionary measure. X-rays came back negative.

Gruden said Williams' injury is not as severe as the one suffered by running back Chris Thompson, who suffered "cracked/fractured ribs."

Williams wasn't the only O-lineman to play through pain Thursday as Morgan Moses played "on a bad Achilles," per Gruden.

Defensive lineman Matt Ioannidis, who left the stadium with an ice pack on his left calf, sustained a calf bruise and Gruden said he will be day-to-day.

Running back Adrian Peterson, who managed just 35 yards on 12 carries, aggravated a shoulder injury and was not quite himself, according to Gruden.

Jay Gruden on Adrian Peterson: "I don't think he was quite himself." Said that banging up his shoulder early in the game was a problem because as a powerful runner it hindered him after. #Redskins

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported linebacker Cassanova McKinzy suffered a torn pectoral against the Cowboys.

And Washington cornerback Quinton Dunbar returned to the lineup after dealing with a shin/nerve injury, but was not at full strength.

“I know he didn’t finish the game very well. He was in some pain there at the very end," Gruden said of Dunbar.
