Trapasso: The Redskins are in a 'perfect position' with the No. 2 overall pick

The Redskins are the most-talked about team in football as we approach the 2020 NFL Draft in late April. Chris Trapasso of CBS Sports tells Chad Dukes that he doesn't believe there is a bad option with the No. 2 overall selection that the team possesses.

"The Redskins are basically in the perfect position, I don't think they can really make a terrible decision," Trapasso said. "If they pick Tua Tagovailoa, it would certainly raise some eyebrows, but they would be drafting the most valuable position on the field, the most advanced passer that we've seen come into the NFL in a while."

While many fans in the nation's capital may scoff at the idea that the Redskins would take another quarterback just a year after selecting Dwayne Haskins 15th overall, all options need to be on the table.

Trapasso proceeded to discuss the Redskins' other two top options that have been widely speculated. They could choose to draft Ohio State's Chase Young, or decide to trade the pick if they are presented with a massive offer.

"Chase Young will be a Nick Bosa/Joey Bosa type impact guy on the edge," Trapasso added. "If they trade down, which is what I think they should do, they're going to get a gigantic haul for that No. 2 overall pick and build around Dwayne Haskins on offense and defense."
