The Washington Wizards are not a very good basketball team. At 16-31 on the season and in 11th place in the Eastern Conference, the team is smartly rebuilding.
The lone bright spot in the 2019-20 season has been the play of
Bradley Beal. The 2-time All-Star is averaging 28.7 points, 6.4 assists, and 4.5 rebounds in 35.5 minutes per game.
However, despite those numbers, Beal was left off the East's roster for the NBA All-Star Game. And the Wizards' star guard was quite upset.
“I’m a little pissed about it, but I know how I am,” Beal told NBC Washington’s Chris Miller after Washington beat Charlotte Thursday.

January 31, 2020 “I was kind of expecting it, honestly. It’s disrespectful, but the real ones know, so I’m just going to keep competing and I’m going to try to get my team to the playoffs.”
"Bradley Beal should be in the All-Star Game," John Auville said on 106.7 The Fan. "It's a farce of an event if Bradley Beal and Devin Booker are not there."
Well, if Beal is added to the roster, who should come off the East's roster?
Auville had another name: "I'm sorry, Bradley Beal is a better player than Jason Tatum. He just is."

January 31, 2020 Would Beal have deserved the nod over Lowry? The Raptors point guard made his sixth All-Star team and is averaging 19.9 points, 7.3 assists, and 4.6 rebounds. His PER is 17.6 and win shares is 4.8. (Beal has a 22.7 PER and 3.4 win shares.)

January 31, 2020 Of course, Auville has a one final thought: "All Star Games are stupid."
