DeAngelo Hall is calling it a career after 14 NFL seasons.
The 34-year-old corner/safety has been weighing his options the last few months, whether to transition next into TV or a front office role somewhere, but tells John Keim of ESPN definitively "I'm done" playing football.
Hall walks away as the active NFL leader in interceptions (43) and ranks tied for 63rd all-time in the category.

— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) May 14, 2018In 171 career games since being drafted eighth overall by Atlanta in 2004 (Washington selected Sean Taylor three picks earlier), Hall has 838 interception return yards for five touchdowns, and 11 forced fumbles and 15 fumbles recovered for 328 yards and five more touchdowns. He also finishes with 811 combined tackles and two career sacks.
Hall arrived in Washington via a mid-season trade with Oakland in 2008 and has spent the past 10 seasons with the Redskins, accumulating 535 combined tackles, 23 interceptions, eight forced fumbles, nine fumbles recovered and six total touchdowns in 106 games (97 starts).
While fighting through a string of injuries the past four seasons and amid a transition from corner to safety, a move he'd hoped would extend his career, Hall tells Michael Phillips of The Richmond Times-Dispatch his motivation in the final years of his career was to cement his Hall of Fame resume.
"I had a vision of a gold jacket, but the injuries the last couple years have been very hard on me," Hall said. "So that's kind of out of the question now. But who's to say I can't get in there some other way? That's kind of my focus. I still want a gold jacket, whether I can get one as an exec, a coach - I'm going to get me a damn gold jacket, believe that."
