The Redskins will likely take Ohio State pass rusher Chase Young with the second pick of the draft. Yeah, yeah, tell us something we didn't know in January despite spending three months of what-if games.

But then what? The Redskins currently have no second-rounder, though my gut reaction is there will be some trading of mid-round picks to move up. Maybe a Trent Williams deal comes in time to get into the second round. Otherwise, welcome to Snoozeville after selecting Young.

In round three, look for the Redskins to find a receiver. Oh, Missouri tight end Albert Okwuegbunam would be enticing here, but the Redskins seem willing to wait until the fourth round for a tight end like Washington's Hunter Bryant.

The Redskins appear intent on finding mid-round magic again like last year, when pulling Terry McLaurin out of the third round. So, maybe this time Washington selects South Carolina's Bryan Edwards in the third. Edwards is that classic tall receiver, but his 50/50 hands are worrisome. But, nobody's perfect after the first 32 selections.

The Redskins currently have two fourth-rounders, though surely they'll be part of a trade. For now, Bryant is the first fourth-rounder and South Carolina State offensive tackle Alex Taylor is the second. Bryant has exceptional quickness and toughness; both should appeal to Redskins coach Ron Rivera. The Redskins need to develop another offensive tackle as part of Rivera's slow building process. Taylor is still new to football after starring in basketball as a prep player. At 6-foot-8, he may also be too tall and lose leverage on the edge. It's a gamble.

The Redskins should go inside in the fifth round for Oregon guard Shane Lemieux. He's a grinder with 52 college starts and a good run blocker, but definitely needs improvement in his pass blocking.

With two seventh-rounders, look for Michigan linebacker Khaleke Hudson to go first and Florida State cornerback Stanford Samuels second. Hudson is a special teams pick for his punt blocking skills. Also, quick enough to cover some sideline routes where the Redskins have stunk in recent years. Samuels is a ball hawk who won't be intimidated by the jump to the NFL.

If the Redskins walk away with more than Young, it's a decent draft. But filling multiple needs won't happen. Maybe they get future help at tight end and offensive tackle, but more immediate impact at receiver.
