Redskins rookie Dwayne Haskins showed flashes of brilliance, and moments of utter confusion in his preseason NFL debut Thursday night.
The 15th overall pick opened the second quarter with 27-yard strike down the right sideline to receiver Darvin Kidsy.

— NFL (@NFL) August 9, 2019Haskins would find Kidsy again later in that same drive, this time connecting on a 32-yard pass, which Kidsy fumbled at Cleveland's 36-yard line, turning the ball over to the Browns.
Haskins quickly found trouble during his second series with the Redskins offense, throwing a pick-six on a short pass intended for running back Byron Marshall. Browns rookie linebacker Mack Wilson intercepted the pass at Washington's 40-yard line and took it to the house.

— NFL (@NFL) August 9, 2019Haskins felt NFL pressure for the first time early into his third series, getting sacked at his own 5-yard line for an 11-yard loss on second-and-11 five minutes into the second quarter. He threw his second interception of the game with 1:22 to go in the half, picked off by Browns corner Greedy Williams on a 24-yard pass attempt intended for tight end Matt Flanagan.

The rookie received more playing time than many predicted, starting the second quarter and exiting the game after the third quarter, at which point Jay Gruden handed the offense over to fourth-stringer Josh Woodrum.
Keenum's day ended with a 4-for-9 passing line for 60 yards and one touchdown. Woodrum completed six of 11 passes for 44 yards and an interception.
The Redskins fell to the Brown, 30-10.
