The biggest stories in a crazy week in D.C. sports

What a month this week has been, right?
Seven days of gigantic stories after gigantic stories around the world of DMV sports. But what which one was the biggest story?
This was a wild week for D.C. sports. But what story was the biggest? #Caps #Nats #Wizards https://t.co/69mKf5218i

News Wizards fans did not expect: After 16 seasons, Ernie Grunfeld was fired Tuesday. Who saw it happening now? Who saw this coming? Well, evidently coach Scott Brooks didn't. But the firing of a long-time team president and architect of a chronically underachieving Wizards team has given many fans hope, but there is still much work they need to do.
Bryce Harper's return
Everybody saw this coming, it was right there on the schedule. Nationals fans had their say with boos cascading down like the rain at Nats Park, Phillies fans had theirs and caused some measure of chaos on the concourse, and then Bryce Harper had his say in the form a Ruthian home run and equally tremendous bat flip.
D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser's Harper tweet
There's something about Twitter and people getting themselves into trouble. Mayor Muriel Bowser tweeted an image of Harper as Benedict Arnold. Then deleted it. This week was strange and Harper's return made it rather awkward around town.
Trea Turner breaks his finger
The night of Bryce Harper's D.C. return was a bit of a Murphy's Law night for the Nationals. They lost the game and lost shortstop Trea Turner to a broken finger and saw Matt Adams exit with a back injury, too. The injury landed Turner on the 10-day Injured List, but he will likely be out for some time. The
Victor Robles has ups and downs
The Nationals season will be a long one. After just six games, the team stands at 3-3, despite their bullpen struggles. The play of young outfielder Victor Robles is quite emblematic of that. There were good stretches, including a pair of home runs, but also the bad in the form of defensive miscues and baserunning missteps.
Capitals win Metro Division
A few days after clinching a spot in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the reigning, defending Stanley Cup Champions won their fourth straight Metropolitan Divison title. Thanks to great play from guys like Alex Ovechkin and Tom Wilson, the Capitals may be peaking at just the right time.
Michal Kempny is officially gone for playoffs
The quest to repeat as Stanley Cup champions got harder when defenseman Michal Kempny was offically ruled out for the rest of the season after surgery to repair a torn hamstring.
Noah Syndergaard feuds with Grant Paulsen
This might be the strangest story of the entire week. Is it as big as the rest? Absolutely not, but it was certainly one of the strangest stories of them all. Noah Syndergaard, fresh off losing to the Nationals 4-0 in the Mets' home opener, decided to get in a 'war' of words with 106.7 The Fan host Grant Paulsen. Wild week.
AWadd looking for 'love'
OK. This was the strangest 'story' of them all. On The Sports Junkies, producer Adam Epstein, or as he is known AWadd, continued a quest for love. It, well, is... another thing that happened this week.
