March 14, 2019 The 26-year-old joined the Redskins on a mid-season trade from Green Bay, where he'd been drafted as a first-rounder in 2014. He would play nine games in a Redskins uniform, recording 56 total tackles with three pass deflections and one forced fumble.
New Redskins safety Landon Collins
spoke Thursday of trying to reconnect with Clinton-Dix, his teammate at Alabama, in Washington. It looks like Clinton-Dix chose another former teammate instead.
Ha Ha Clinton-Dix gets $3.5 million on his one-year deal from the #Bears, source says. He had more on the table elsewhere but it sounds like he wanted to join that Chicago defense and be reunited with his Alabama teammate Eddie Jackson.

March 14, 2019 The Redskins gave up a fourth-round pick to acquire Clinton-Dix. Now that he's left via free agency, they're in line to get a compensatory pick in return – likely a fourth-rounder in 2020.
The news did not seem to please Redskins Senior VP of Player Personnel Doug Williams.
Got to tell Doug Williams that Clinton-Dix signed with the Bears. He didn’t seem thrilled. Said time to go to work.
